The company was started in July 1980 by Aboo Seedat and Gulam Seedat. The company was then situated in Johannesburg in Melrose Street and was only 110 square meters and was one of the first BEE companies in the industry. After considerable success in the fastening industry the company today is one of the leading fastening companies in the industry and operates from its 1500 square meter premises in Ophirton Booysens, Johannesburg. Today the company has customers not only in Johannesburg, but in all areas within South Africa and also other countries in the Southern African region. The company is also 100% BEE owned.
The company operats from its premises situated at No. 17/19 Rawbone Street in Ophirton, Johannesburg. The company has the capacity to meet any required customer demands whether big or small. The company also has a fleet of vehicles which cover most areas to ensure that all deliveries where required are delivered promptly and efficiently.

The company is led by one of its founding members, Mr Aboo Seedat. He is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable persons in the industry and is well known and widely respected by most companies in the industry. He has more than 25 years experience.
The management team also includes Mr Mohammed Seedat who is the company's Sales Director and has 15 years experience with the company. Mr Moosa Seedat is Head of Operations. The management team also includes Mr Imraan Seedat who is a qualified Cartered Accountant.
